Description
AveCardit – a medication for the treatment of heart failure in dogs. The active ingredient, pimobendan, improves heart function and reduces cardiac load.
Indications:
- Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)
- Myxomatous mitral valve disease
Dosage Form:
Tablets: 1.25 mg and 5 mg
Dosage:
0.5 mg/kg of body weight per day, divided into two doses, administered one hour before meals.
Contraindications:
- Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
- Aortic stenosis
- Liver disease
Side Effects:
Rare: tachycardia, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite.
Storage:
Store in a dry place at 2–25 °C, away from children and animals.
Veterinary consultation is required before use.
