Description
Enrofloxacin is an antibacterial agent of the second generation fluoroquinolone group, with a broad spectrum of action and high effectiveness against a wide range of both gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.
The pathogens affected by enrofloxacin include: Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Streptococci, Staphylococci, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas and Haemophilus species, Bordetella, Brucella, Proteus, Clostridia, Mycoplasmas, Listeria, and Corynebacteria, as well as the agents of campylobacteriosis and actinobacillary infection.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND DOSAGE
Administered orally, individually in crushed form with food or forcibly at the root of the tongue, at a daily dose of 5 mg of enrofloxacin per kg of body weight.
