Description
Milbemax is an anthelmintic medication for cats, designed to treat and prevent helminth infections. It is effective against roundworms and tapeworms.
Active Ingredients:
- Milbemycin oxime – effective against nematodes (roundworms) and larval stages of heartworms.
- Praziquantel – eliminates tapeworms by causing paralysis and destruction of their protective membranes.
Dosage Forms:
Tablets for cats:
- For kittens and small cats (0.5 kg to 2 kg)
- For adult cats (over 2 kg)
Dosage and Administration:
Administer the medication once orally, with or after food.

For prevention – every 3 months and 10 days before vaccination.
Indications:
Effective against roundworms (ascariasis, hookworms) and tapeworms (echinococcosis, dipylidiosis, taeniasis).
Contraindications:
- Kittens under 6 weeks old
- Weight less than 0.5 kg
- Individual intolerance to components
- Pregnant and lactating cats – use only under veterinary supervision
Side Effects:
Mild discomfort, loss of appetite, vomiting, allergic reactions may occur.
